There is still a great deal of work to be done before the Banjo Blues Project is ready for shipping, but we thought you might enjoy hearing a rough mix of one of the tracks.
This is straight from the mixing board. There is a bunch of engineering stuff to be done for the final mix, but I am really happy with the way the project is headed.
The song is the old spiritual What A Morning. My version of the tune owes a great deal to the guitar playing of Reverend Pearly Brown. The banjo is tuned to Open D.
We will be posting samples of the more uptempo songs on the album as we get closer to our launch date.

I closed my office last year after I got sick and I don’t have access to any place big enough to host a monthly shindig, so I figured I would put the word out and see what happens.
